My name is Samantha Lloyd and I'm the name, face and artist behind 'Dream Merchant Designs' - I live outside of Perth, WA (Australia) in a remote yet gorgeous area surrounded by a few distant neighbours, a national forest as my backyard and 250 acres to play on. I own real horse's as well as painting the plastic/resin ones and I mainly compete in Showjumping events around the state. The reason I got into painting model horses and the Painted Ponies was due to injury and a later near-fatal car accident which kept me grounded off the real horses, and this helped me pass the time - and from something that 'passed the time' it trutly grew into a hobby and then into the Studio.

I accept comissions, but the main part of my sales and the easiest way to get your hands on my work is by watching Model Horse Sales Pages (MH$P) as I always advertise there as well as on my Yahoo Group. I paint and sell a small number of models during the year. Now that I'm starting to get back into the saddle again and ride, my comission time has being cut down, so you're best bet is to watch those websites, as well as this one often.
